Marque Jones Sr. ('77)
Marque Jones Sr. was involved with the Wilmington College football program for over 50 years. He played for four years and graduated in 1977 and was a solid player for the Quakers. He finished his career with 39 catches for 620 yards.
He then joined former head coach Bill Ramseyer on staff and never left. Jones started by helping out with whatever was needed, before eventually focusing on the wide receivers, his position at Wilmington. He held the full-time receivers job for several decades and left a legacy on the program that may never be matched.
"When I was told I would be inducted into the athletics Hall of Fame, I was surprised and grateful to be recognized for the many years spent coaching the wideouts group", said Jones Sr. "Thank you to the selection committee for choosing me for such a great honor."
