John Calhoun was an All-American quarterback for Head Coach Bill Ramseyer. He came to Wilmington in 1976, and after a stint in the US Navy, he returned to lead the Fightin' Quakers to the NAIA National Championship game as a senior in 1980. During that run, he connected with Dave Dill in overtime in a 56-49 victory over Hanover College at Townsend Field.
