Dr. John Turba (1977-2007)

Dr. John Turba served as the Wilmington College athletics team physician for 30 years. He came to WC in 1977 and is the founder of the College's nationally-renowned athletic training program. Turba's favorite memories with the Fightin' Quakers are the 1980 football NAIA national runner-up season and the 2004 women's basketball national championship.
