Dick Fortner ('54)

Richard "Dick" Fortner was a three-sport student-athlete in football, baseball and men's tennis. Known as "Ramblin' Richard" during his WC days, he set a program record with four interceptions at linebacker during the 1953 season. In tennis, won the Mid-Ohio Conference title as a senior. After graduating from WC, Fortner went on to coach at Stow, Akron Kenmore and Akron North High Schools. While at Stowe, he coached for NFL Hall of Famer Larry Csonka.
