Justin Saylor (2002-2005)

Saylor, who earned a degree in sport management, was a three-year member of the men's soccer program from 2002-05 and played for long-time Head Coach Bud Lewis after transferring from Hofstra University. A goalkeeper, he boasted a three-year record of 40-18-4 and voted the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Goalkeeper of the Year on WC's only OAC regular season championship team in 2004. That season, the Quakers finished with a 17-3-2 record and didn't surrender a goal en route to the OAC Tournament title and the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament. There, Wilmington received a first round bye, and after defeating Wheaton College (Illinois) 2-0 in the first round at Gilhart Field, the Quakers fell to Wartburg College (Iowa) 1-0 on a late goal in the "Sweet 16". In Saylor's final season, he garnered Second Team All-OAC honors as WC once against went 7-1-1 in conference play, but fell to rival John Carroll University 2-1 in overtime in the OAC Tournament title game. He currently works as an assistant commissioner of the Colorado High School Athletic Association.
