Gary Worthy ('82)
All-American
National Runner-Up
Worthy was a three-time All-American running back, set 10 school records including single-season rushing yards (1,241), career rushing yards (3,371) and rushing touchdowns (64) that all still stand today. He led the NAIA in scoring during the 1980 season, a year where the Fightin' Quakers, under the direction of Head Coach Bill Ramseyer, advanced all the way to the national championship game. After graduation, Worthy, whose No. 22 was retired by the College, was drafted by the Chicago Bears.
