Otte played four years of football for Head Coach Mike Wallace. After a 13-17 record his first three seasons, Otte was part of the Fightin' Quakers' 9-1 campaign in 1999 that is one of the best seasons in program history. A defensive back, Otte was an All-American, Academic All-American and a finalist for the Gagliardi Trophy, NCAA Division III's version of the Heisman Trophy.
