John Woolums ('43)

John Woolums, a 1943 Wilmington College graduate, coached at Roosevelt High School for 25 years from 1947-72. His teams won 10 city championships, made the district finals. Two of Woolum's teams went undefeated and one won the OHSAA state championship in 1960. He was named Dayton Area Coach of the Year 10 times and OHSAA Coach of the Year in 1960.
