(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) – The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced their spring Academic All-OAC athletes this morning and Wilmington College had 34 athletes honored.
The team with the most honorees was the Quakers softball team with 12, followed by the baseball team with seven, men's track & field team with six, women's track & field team with five, and men's lacrosse team with four athletes.
The softball athletes being honored for the third time in their careers as Academic All-OAC were seniors
Rachel Berry,
Makenzie O'Neil, and
Judaea Wilson. Second time honoree was junior
Nina Peak. Being honored for the first time in their Wilmington career were sophomores
Belle Baughman,
Jocelyn Franz,
Ashley Jo Hardesty,
Alasandra Spears,
Laney Starbuck,
Rylee Held Maddie Starnes, and junior
Gracey Dearmon.
Senior
Brayden Kisling earned the honor for the third time in his career for the Quakers baseball team. Second time recipients were juniors
Kyle Jennings,
Trent Mendenhall, and
Jay Utterdyke. First time recipients were sophomores
JP Donelan,
Max Gildea, and
Eli Hollingsworth.
Seniors
Nathen Borgan and
Justin Shuga were named Academic All-OAC for the third time in their Quakers careers for men's track & field. Also earning his third honor is junior
Zach McGuirt, however two of those have come for men's basketball, and this is his first for men's track & field. Two-time honorees were junior
Mike Soltis and sophomore
Jase Edmonson, who earned one for men's track & field and one for men's soccer. Sophomore
Brendan Bornemann was a first-time honoree for Wilmington.
A pair of two-time honorees from women's track & field were junior
Lucy Trout and graduate student
Haley Cook. Another two-time honoree was sophomore
Alice Clair, who earned one for women's swimming and the other for women's track & field. First time recipients were junior
Faith Duncan and sophomore
Chloe Sutton.
From men's lacrosse, senior
Angus Cripe earned his third Academic All-OAC honor. Second time honorees were senior
Cody Everly and junior
Jayden Kruse. Sophomore
Ben Parke earned the first honor of his Quakers career.
