(GREENWOOD, Ind.) – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2026 Academic All-District Baseball teams today and the Wilmington College baseball team had five players honored. This is the most a school can have on the All-District team.
To be considered, you must be a sophomore or higher both academically and athletically and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA). Athletically, you must have done one of the following: competed in at least 90 percent of your team's games, started at least 66 percent of your team's games, made at least 17 appearances on the mound, or pitched 35 innings.
Four Quakers are being named for the second season in a row in seniors
Kyle Jennings and
Trent Mendenhall along with juniors
JP Donelan and
Max Gildea. Earning the honor for the first time in his career is senior
Brent Case.
Jennings is a Criminal Justice major who appeared in all 38 games for the Quakers this season, making 36 starts.
Mendenhall is a Communication Arts & Sport Management major who appeared in 16 games for the Quakers this season on the mound, with five starts and a team high 40.1 innings pitched.
Donelan is an Exercise Science major who appeared in 32 games for the Quakers with 28 starts. He also appeared in seven games on the mound for Wilmington with three starts, pitching 16.2 innings.
Gildea is a Sport Management major who started all 38 games for the Quakers this season. He also started seven games on the mound for Wilmington, pitching 32 innings.
Case appeared in 18 games on the mound for Wilmington, making one start. He pitched 15.2 innings.
