(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) – The Ohio Athletic Conference announced their 2024 Winter Academic
All-OAC recipients this morning and the Quakers had 22 student-athletes recognized, with twelve of these athletes being honored for the first time in their Quakers careers and five seniors having earned the maximum three honors for their sport.
Academic
All-OAC award winners must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50.
The Quakers men's basketball team had eight honorees. Sophomores
Ben Golan and
Jack Nurre, Juniors
Zach McGuirt,
Collin Barker, and
Jed Smith, and Seniors
Collin Barker,
Bryce Bird,
Gavin Heimlich, and
Nick Malagreca Jr. For Golan and
Nurre, this is their first honor. Barker,
Malagreca,
McGuirt and Smith each have received two honors. Bird and Heimlich have earned three honors.
The Quakers wrestling team had two honorees. Junior
Devon Snyder and Senior
Garrett Simmons. Simmons earned his third honor, and Snyder earned his first.
The Quakers women's basketball team had four first-time honorees. Sophomores
Stephanie Altstaetter,
Katie Dryer,
Kaleigh Leadbetter, and
Olivia Trusty.
The Quakers men's swimming team had four honorees. Sophomores
Adam Moneypenny and
Jo Pedersen, Junior
Sondre Haugen, and Senior
Austin Reed. This will be the first honor for
Moneypenny and Pedersen. Haugen earned his second this year. Reed has earned his third honor.
The Quakers women's swimming team had four honorees. Sophomores
Alice Clair,
Sophia Mignery, and
Alaina Reynek and Senior
Shannon O'Boyle. Clair, Mignery and
Reynek each earned their first honor. O'Boyle has earned her third honor.
