Biography

PERSONAL: Shannon O'Boyle was born Sept. 13, 2002...the daughter of Jim & Mary O'Boyle...four-year letterwinner for Head Coach Mitch Hopf at Wilmington High School...recipient of the Golden Goggle Award...team captain that graduated with highest honors...also a member of the cross country and track & field teams.

MAJOR: Psychology

Freshman Season (2021-22): 

Competed in the 500-yard and 1,650-yard freestyle as well as the 100-yard backstroke events at the OAC Championships.

Junior Season (2023-24):

Competed in nine meets for the Quakers…Swam a personal best time of 2:22.61 in the 200 Yard Freestyle at the OAC Championships…Competed in the 500 Yard Freestyle, 200 Yard Freestyle, and 1650 Yard Freestyle at the OAC Championships…Named Academic All-OAC.

Senior Season (2024-25):

Appeared in 10 meets this season for the Quakers…Set new personal best times in the 50 SC Freestyle (36.22), 100 Yard Freestyle (1:05.56), 100 SC Freestyle (1:16.19), 200 SC Freestyle (2:48.85), 400 SC Freestyle (5:49.79), 50 SC Backstroke (42.12), 100 SC Backstroke (1:35.63), and 200 SC Backstroke (3:26.13)…Competed in the finals of the 1650 Yard Freestyle at the OAC Championships, while also competing in the prelims of the 200 Yard Freestyle and the 500 Yard Freestyle…Named CSC Academic All-District…Named Academic All-OAC.
