(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College women's swimming team faced off with the University of Mount Union Saturday afternoon on Senior Day, losing to the Purple Raiders, 183- 74. Seniors

McKenzie Danhoff, and
Adrienne Reynek were honored before the start of the meet.
Gabby Kuetemeyer led the way for Wilmington, as she was the lone Quaker to win an individual event. She took home the 100 SC Meter Butterfly with a time of 1:13.42, just out touching the Purple Raiders Nina Veldt who finished in 1:13.61. In her other individual event, Kuetemeyer finished third in 2:45.94 in the 200 SC Meter IM.
Adisson Houdeshell had a solid afternoon for Wilmington, finishing second and third in her two individual events. In the 200 SC Meter Freestyle, she touched the wall in 2:29.63 to finish second before the 100 SC Meter Backstroke saw her in third place at 1:19.02.
A trio of Quakers had a second-place finish in
Makenna Garn,
Sophia Mignery, and
Sydney Overmyer. Garn just missed out on a win in the 50 SC Meter Freestyle, as she touched the wall in 29.78 seconds and Isabelle Parr of Mount Union finished in 29.74 seconds. Mignery finished the 100 SC Meter Breaststroke in a time of 1:29.96 for second place while Overmyer was second in the 400 SC Meter Freestyle at 5:21.54.
Adrienne Reynek,
Abbi Whitesell, and
Brenna Beadle all had a third-place finish. Reynek finished third in the 800 SC Meter Freestyle with a time of 11:42.65. In the 50 SC Meter Breaststroke, Whitesell took third in 40.28 seconds and Beadle finished the 100 SC Meter Butterfly in 1:15.09 for third place.
In the relay events, the Quakers won the 200 SC Meter Freestyle Relay in comeback fashion in 2:01.59, where Garn took it home over the last 25 meters after the Quakers trailed the whole race.
They were second in the 200 SC Meter Medley Relay with a time of 2:16.43 to Mount Union's 2:15.38. Both relay teams consisted of Overmyer, Beadle, Houdeshell, and Garn.
