(AKRON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College women's swimming team finished up day three of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships in fifth place with 210 points.
Leading the way for Wilmington were senior
Makenna Garn and junior
Gabby Kuetemeyer, who both earned All-OAC honors with second place finishes. Garn finished her lone individual event of the day, the 100 Yard Breaststroke, in second place at 1:08.01. This came after a 1:09.57 in the prelims. This is the fifth All-OAC honor of Garn's career and the second in the 100 Yard Breaststroke.
Kuetemeyer garnered All-OAC honors for the first time in her Quakers career tonight. It came in the 400 Yard IM, where she placed second, touching the wall in 4:53.77 after a 4:58.82 in the prelims.
Senior
Sydney Overmyer also competed in an A final for the Quakers tonight in the 200 Yard Freestyle. She took eighth in the event at 2:08.55 after a 2:05.95 in the prelims.
Sophomore
Adisson Houdeshell competed in a pair of B finals tonight in the 100 Yard Backstroke and 200 Yard Freestyle. She finished second in the 100 Yard Backstroke and 10th overall in a time of 1:09.21 and sixth in the 200 Yard Freestyle (14th overall) with a time of 2:14.75.
Senior
Abbi Whitesell took fifth in the B finals of the 100 Yard Breaststroke in a time of 1:21.65.
