Garn Earns Sixth Career All-OAC Honor in Final Day of OAC Championships

(AKRON, Ohio) – On the final day of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships, the Wilmington College women's swimming team finished in fifth place as a team with 273 points.

Leading the Quakers on the final night was senior Makenna Garn as she earned the sixth All-OAC accolade of her Wilmington College career. She competed in the 200 Yard Breaststroke and finished in second place with a time of 2:29.78, shaving nearly four seconds off her prelims time of 2:33.19. This is the third season in a row that Garn had an All-OAC finish in the 200 Yard Breaststroke. After Kuetemeyer earned All-OAC last night, they became the first duo to earn All-OAC recognition at the same championships since Fynn Roberts and Macki Leon in 2019-20.

Kuetemeyer finished fifth in the 200 Yard Breaststroke in 2:34.25. Also earning a fifth-place finish for Wilmington tonight was senior Sydney Overmyer in the 1650 Yard Freestyle in 19:28.46.

Sophomore Adisson Houdeshell finished fifth in the B finals of the 100 Yard Freestyle, touching the wall in 1:01.78.
