Men's Swimming Claims Second in 800 Yard Freestyle Relay to Kick Off OAC Championships

(AKRON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College men's swimming team completed day one of the OAC Championships tonight at the Ocasek Natatorium in second place with 34 points.

The Quakers team of senior Sondre Haugen, sophomore Parker Basener, and seniors John Good and Jo Pedersen finished second in the 800 Yard Freestyle relay with a time of 6:54.63.

Haugen kicked off the relay for Wilmington with the best 200 Yard Free time of any swimmer in the race at 1:39.49. This just misses his program record time of 1:39.01. Pedersen finished in 1:43.62, Good in 1:44.50 and Basener in 1:47.02.
