PERSONAL: Jarrett "JJ" Durr was born May 6, 2002 the son of Steve and Debi Durr... four year letterwinner for Head Coach John Slusser at Ridgewood High School... IVC Champion, three time state qualifier.. Also a member of the generals football team. 

MAJOR: Exercise Science

Freshman Season (2021-22): 

Earned All-OAC honors with a runner-up heave of 18.37 meters in the weight throw at the OAC Indoor Championships...also placed sixth indoors (14.38 meters) in the shot put...won the OAC Championship outdoors in the hammer throw (53.70 meters)...also competed in the shot put and discus outdoors.

Sophomore Season (2022-23):

Appeared in 16 meets for the Quakers, competing in the hammer throw, shot put, discus throw, and weight throw…Set collegiate bests in the weight throw (18.68m), hammer throw (60.33m), and discus throw (44.68m)…Became an All-American for the first time in his career with a fifth place finish at nationals with a mark of 59.12m…Won 11 events throughout the season…Won the weight throw at the OAC Indoor Championships with a throw of 18.14m and won the hammer throw at the OAC Outdoor Championships with a mark of 58.66m.

Junior Season (2023-24):

Appeared in 17 meets for the Quakers…Competed in the Shot Put, Weight Throw, Hammer Throw, and Discus Throw…Set new career bests in the Weight Throw (19.22m) and the Hammer Throw (62.72m)…Won one Weight Throw competition and finished second in five others, including the OAC Indoor Track & Field Championships…Finished second in five Hammer Throw competitions, including the OAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships…Finished eighth in the Weight Throw at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, and was named a First Team All-American in the event…Finished third in the Hammer Throw at the Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and was named a First Team All-American in the event…Named All-Region in the Weight Throw and the Hammer Throw…Named All-OAC in the Weight Throw and Hammer Throw.

Senior Season (2024-25):

Appeared in 17 total meets for the Quakers…Competed in the Weight Throw, Hammer Throw, and Discus Throw…Won the 2025 Weight Throw National Championship at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships…Finished as a First Team All-American (4th) in the Hammer Throw at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships…Named USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region Indoor Men’s Field Athlete of the Year…Named USTFCCCA All Great Lakes Region in the Hammer Throw and Weight Throw…Named the Men's Field Athlete of the Meet at the OAC Indoor Track & Field Championships...Won the OAC Championship in the Weight Throw and Hammer Throw…Named OAC Track & Field Athlete of the Week three times this season (January 20th, January 27th, and April 21st)…Set career bests in the Weight Throw (20.14m) and Hammer Throw (64.33m)…Won seven Weight Throw competitions, one Hammer Throw competition, and one Discus Throw competition…Finished second in six Hammer Throw competitions.
