(CEDARVILLE, Ohio) – The Wilmington College men's and women's track & field teams competed today at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open, hosted at Cedarville University. The women's team finished ninth with 24 points while the men were in a tie for 18th with six points.
The Quakers were led by
Sophia Hardwick and
Chloe Lovett on the women's side. Hardwick was fourth in the Javelin Throw with a mark of 33.60m on her third attempt to score five points for Wilmington. She followed this with a 13th place finish in the 400 Meter Hurdles in 1:10.67. Lovett finished the 400 Meter Hurdles in 1:07.83 to finish in sixth place and score four points for Wilmington.
Amy Myers and
Lucy Trout had solid days in the Hammer Throw for Wilmington. Myers was ninth at 47.04m on her third throw, besting her mark from yesterday in Georgia. Trout finished 10th for the Quakers with a toss of 46.66m on her second attempt.
In the Discus Throw,
Mykell Bowen hit 37.62m on her first throw of the day for 12th place.
Andria Pollazek tied for 13th in the High Jump, with a clearance of 1.48m on her second attempt at that height.
Junior
Hayden Setty took 19th in the 800 Meter Run at 2:24.92, finishing just behind Cedarville's Aidan Christopher (2:24.73).
The Quakers 4x400 Meter Relay team of Setty,
Kyla Begley, Lovett, and Pollazek took second at 4:13.04.
For the men,
Larreon Brodie was 12th in the Hammer Throw at 49.54m on his first throw.
Carson Miles cleared 1.85m on his first attempt to finish in a tie for 14th place in the High Jump.
In the first 100 Meter Dash of his collegiate career at Wilmington,
Darryl Story finished in 11.15 seconds for 17th place.
Griffin Roell didn't break the two-minute barrier during the indoor season in the 800 Meter Run, but he did on his first try outdoors. He finished 11th in 1:58.52.
The 4x400 Meter Relay team of
Donovan Mosley,
Brendan Bornemann,
Keegan Kidd, and Roell took fourth place in the event in a time of 3:26.03 for six points.

The Quakers host their first meet of the 2026 season on Friday and Saturday in Williams Stadium.
Friday is set for a 3:00 P.M. start for field events and 4:00 P.M. for running events, while Saturday starts at 11:00 A.M. for field events and 1:00 P.M. for running events.
