(AUSTIN, Texas) – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2024-25 Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Academic All-America teams last week.
Faith Duncan was named to the First Team, becoming the first Quaker since David Henry (Football) in 2017 to be named CSC First Team Academic All-America. She becomes the first women's track & field/cross country athlete to earn this distinction since Ashley Johnson in 2007.
She was one of just 46 total athletes to be given this prestigious honor and one of 16 on the First Team. Joining her from the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) were Izzy Burman (Ohio Northern, First Team), Kenadee Wayt (Mount Union, First Team), Mary Mason (Mount Union, Second Team), and Hope Murphy (Baldwin Wallace, Third Team).
Duncan has been honored with a multitude of awards this season, including being named Spring Academic All-OAC, CSC Academic All-District and U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Cross Country All Academic.
Athletically, Duncan won the 2024 Great Lakes Region Cross Country Championship. She led the entire country indoors in the 3000- and 5000-Meter Runs and was tied for 19th in the Mile. She went on to win the National Championship in the Cross Country 6k, indoor 3000 Meter Run, and indoor 5000 Meter Run. Outdoors, she led the country in the 5000- and 10,000-Meter Runs and was 42nd in the 1500 Meter Run.
She was a Communication Art-Organizational Communication major.
