(GREENWOOD, Ind.) – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2025 Academic All-District Women's Track & Field/Cross Country teams today and the Wilmington College women's team had five athletes honored.
To be considered, you must be a sophomore or higher both academically and athletically and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA). Athletically, you must have done one of the following: had a top-50 individual performance at your respective 2024 NCAA regional race or in track & field had a top-50 regional ranking in a single event (indoor or outdoor).
All five Quakers are earning the honor for the first time in sophomore
Mykell Bowen, graduate student
Haley Cook, junior
Faith Duncan, sophomore
Hayden Setty, and junior
Lucy Trout.
Bowen is an Agriculture-Animal Science major. She was 14th in the Great Lakes region in the Weight Throw, 10th in the Discus, and 13th in the Hammer Throw.
Cook was an Agriculture-Animal Science major as an undergraduate before joining the Master of Organizational Leadership program this academic year. Cook was 22nd in the indoor 400 Meter Dash regionally, 20th in the outdoor 400 Meter Dash, 23rd in the 400 Meter Hurdles, and tied for 47th in the outdoor Long Jump.
Duncan was a Communication Art-Organizational Communication major who won the 2024 Great Lakes Region Cross Country Championship. She led the entire country indoors in the 3000- and 5000-Meter Runs and was tied for 19th in the Mile. She went on to win the National Championship in the Cross Country 6k, indoor 3000 Meter Run, and indoor 5000 Meter Run. Outdoors, she led the country in the 5000- and 10,000-Meter Runs and was 42nd in the 1500 Meter Run.
Setty is an Exercise Science major. She was 38th regionally in the indoor 800 Meter Run. Outdoors, she was eighth in the 800 Meter Run and 22nd in the 400 Meter Dash.
Trout is an Agriculture-Animal Science & Equine Business Management major. In the Great Lakes region, she was 13th in the Weight Throw and 8th in the Hammer Throw.
