(LOUISVILLE, Ky.) – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced their 2025 Division III All-Region teams yesterday. Wilmington College had one player represented in sophomore second baseman
Jocelyn Franz as Third Team All-Region VII.
She becomes the first player in program history to be named All-Region as a second baseman and is the third player for Wilmington over the last four seasons to earn an All-Region nod.
Last season,
Samantha Schwab was named Second Team All-Region as a catcher, while 2022 saw
Judaea Wilson earn Third Team All-Region honors at third base.
Franz was named First Team All Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) at second base Tuesday morning.
This season saw Franz finish in the Top-10 of the OAC in several different categories. Her best mark was a tie for second in walks with 24. She tied for sixth in triples with three, was eighth in on base percentage (OBP) at .500, tied for ninth in runs scored with 35, and finished tied for 10th in stolen bases with 12. She was a perfect 12-12 in stolen base attempts.
She finished second on the Quakers with a 1.018 on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS), tied for second with 58 total bases, third with a .393 batting average, and tied for third with 44 hits.
Franz finished the season with 14 multi-hit games, including a 4-4 performance in the Quakers second game against Ohio Northern University on April 9th in a 19-6 run rule victory over the Polar Bears. She had at least one hit in 28 of the Quakers 35 games this season.
Franz finished with multiple runs batted in (RBI) in six games and multiple runs scored in 10 games.
