Kori Cornett earns a place as the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Athlete of the Week for her sensational performance this past week in doubleheaders against Bluffton University and Hanover College.
Cornett proved that consistency and small ball deserves recognition. She hit .836 off Bluffton and Hanover pitching, with 10 of 11 hits being singles while working three walks in 16 plate appearances.
Cornett had five runs batted in (RBI), scored seven runs, and stole a base in addition to her consistency at the plate.
Cornett's .645 batting average leads the OAC this season to go along with 12 runs scored, five doubles, and nine RBI, all top three on the team.
