Men's Track & Field Finishes Sixth at Indoor OAC Championships

(ADA, Ohio) – The Wilmington College men's track & field team concluded the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships this afternoon in sixth place with 60 team points. This is the second straight season the Quakers have finished in sixth place at the indoor OAC Championships.

Leading the Quakers this afternoon was graduate student Noah Tobin, who was All-OAC for the first time in his career in the indoor 3000 Meter Run. He finished second with a time of 8:35.02 to score eight points. Dominic Delmoro of John Carroll University, who Tobin beat last night in the 5000 Meter run, just edged him with a time of 8:33.59.

Senior Brady Vilvens took third place for the third straight season in the indoor High Jump, clearing his personal best indoor height of 1.99m to earn six points. Amari Waddy of Baldwin Wallace University also cleared 1.99, but he cleared it a jump before Vilvens to take second. Vilvens took a chance at 2.05m to try and qualify for the national meet but was unsuccessful in three attempts.

In his first OAC Championship action, freshman Trey Sparks impressed with a sixth-place finish and three points. He cleared a career best 1.87m before failing at 1.90m.

Another impressive freshman was Keegan Kidd, who finished the 800 Meter Run in 1:59.37 for a sixth-place finish and three points. Gavin Kelly of Otterbein University just beat him with a time of 1:58.87.

The final scorers of the day for Wilmington came in the 4x200 Relay where the team of De'Anta Sanon, Mackenzie Tillman, Logan Kent, and Jase Edmonson finished in seventh place with a season best time of 1:33.95. This gave the Quakers two points.

After his winning performance in the Weight Throw yesterday, JJ Durr was also named the Men's Field Athlete of the Meet.

What's Up Next
For the majority of the team, they conclude their 2025 indoor track & field season. However, a few Quakers will head back to Ada next weekend for a Last Chance meet on Saturday, as they look to qualify for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships.
