(SPRINGFIELD, Ohio) – The Wilmington College women's track & field team had their final meet before the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships next week at Ohio Northern University. They competed at the Wittenberg Invitational in an unscored meet.
The Quakers best event of the day came in the Weight Throw, where three athletes finished in the Top-8.
Lucy Trout led the way with a fifth-place finish and a toss of 14.93m on her very first throw.
Mykell Bowen had a season best throw of 14.90m on her second attempt for a sixth-place finish.
Amy Myers took eighth at 14.45m on her fifth throw of the event.
Kyla Rush finished in fifth place in the Triple Jump with a leap of 9.77m on her final jump of the day.
A pair of Quakers relay teams ran well, as the 4x200 Relay team of
Chloe Lovett,
Haley Cook,
Chloe Sutton, and
Hayden Setty finished their race in 1:49.94. The 4x400 Relay team consisting of Lovett, Cook,
Sophia Hardwick, and Setty finished in third place with a time of 4:07.17.
Lovett ran the 60m Hurdles prelims in 9.93 seconds to finish eighth and move to the finals where she took eighth place in 10.03 seconds. Her prelims time is her best race of the season.

The Quakers are back in action on Friday, February 28th and Saturday, March 1st in Ada, Ohio at the OAC Championships. Day one is set to begin at Noon, while day two has a 10:00 A.M. start time.
