(GAMBIER, Ohio) – The Wilmington College men's swimming team had seven swimmers competing in the Fast Chance Invitational, hosted at Kenyon College Saturday afternoon.
Junior
Sondre Haugen competed in a pair of events for the Quakers. He broke his own program record in the 100 Yard Butterfly, with a time of 49.49 seconds, which was good for fourth in the event. He finished in second place in the 200 Yard Freestyle time trial at 1:40.02.
Sophomore
Jo Pedersen competed in three events for Wilmington, the 400 Yard IM, 100 Yard Backstroke, and 100 Yard IM time trial. He swam a 4:14.84 in the 400 Yard IM, touched the wall in 53.64 seconds in the 100 Yard Backstroke, and had a time of 52.73 seconds in the 100 Yard IM.
Junior
John Good swam the 100 Yard Breaststroke, 50 Yard Freestyle, and 100 Yard Butterfly. He finished the 100 Yard Breaststroke in 1:03.24, 50 Yard Freestyle in 21.45 seconds, and 100 Yard Butterfly in 53.17 seconds.
Senior
Austin Reed competed in his final meet as a Quaker, swimming the 200 Yard IM, 100 Yard Breaststroke, and 100 Yard Freestyle. He was fifth in the 200 Yard IM at 2:02.44, finished the 100 Yard Breaststroke in 1:04.00, and the 100 Yard Freestyle in 47.88 seconds.
Junior
Jake Stein swam in four events. In the 50 Yard Freestyle, he finished in 23.61 seconds. He swam the 200 Yard Freestyle in 2:02.91, the 100 Yard Breaststroke in 1:10.59, and the 100 Yard IM time trial in 1:03.13.
Sophomore
Adam Moneypenny finished the 100 Yard Breaststroke in 1:02.86 and the 200 Yard Breaststroke in 2:33.50. Sophomore
Nathan Duerk also competed in the 100- and 200-Yard Breaststrokes. He finished the 100 Yard Breaststroke in 1:06.98 and the 200 Yard Breaststroke in 2:26.11.

After swimming an NCAA B cut time last week of 1:39.01 at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships in the 200 Yard Freestyle,
Sondre Haugen learns whether he gets the opportunity to compete in the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships on Monday.
The rest of the team will be back in the pool for dual action beginning in October.
