(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) – After a weekend in which she anchored the Quakers Distance Medley Relay (DMR) team that set a new program record and finished second in the 5,000 Meter Run (5K),
Faith Duncan was named Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
This is the second time that Duncan has earned the honor this season and is the seventh total time she has been honored in her career. She was named the OAC Cross Country Runner of the Week four times during the fall and was named OAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week one-time last spring.
She ran a time of 16:14.76 in the 5K Friday night and only lost to Hannah Hartwell of Division II Fort Lewis College, who ran a 16:08.22. Hartwell's time is third in the 5K for Division II this season. The closest Division III competitor ran a 16:37.01.
Duncan anchored the Quakers DMR team, running the mile in a time of 4:54 to help set the new program record of 12:13.86 that was converted to 12:21.72 for track size and is the 12th best time in Division III this season.
Heading into the final weekend before OAC's, Duncan has the best time in Division III for both the 3,000- and 5,000-Meter Run.
