(TIFFIN, Ohio) – The Wilmington College women's track & field team has been in action over the past two days at the GVSU Big Meet in Allendale, Michigan and The Robinson Family Open, hosted by Tiffin University.
Faith Duncan and
Haley Cook competed at the GVSU Big Meet last night. Duncan ran the 5,000 Meter Run and finished in second at 16:14.76 behind a Division II runner. She is the number one runner in the 5K for Division III by 17.64 seconds.
Haley Cook ran the 400 Meter Dash in 59.71 seconds, just missing out on her personal best time of 59.67 seconds. She finished sixth in the race and is fifth in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) this season.
The Quakers Distance Medley Relay team of Cook,
Chloe Lovett,
Hayden Setty, and Duncan ran in the GVSU Big Meet – Saturday portion this morning and finished 16th at 12:13.86. This is a new program record and is one of the best times in Division III.
The Quakers best event in Tiffin was the Weight Throw as Wilmington had four women who would have placed in a scored meet.
Lucy Trout won the event with a new personal best mark of 15.22m on her fourth throw while
Amy Myers was second at 14.38m on her fifth throw.
Mykell Bowen took seventh after hitting 13.92m on her final throw while
Kaitlynn Hickey had a personal best toss of 13.87m on her fifth throw. Trout's throw puts her at third in the OAC in the event.
In the Shot Put, Hickey and
Precious Orock finished fourth and fifth. Hickey had a throw of 10.63m on her fourth throw while Orock hit 10.53m on her first throw.

The Quakers are in Springfield, Ohio next weekend for their final tune up before the OAC Championships, competing at the Wittenberg Invite, hosted by Wittenberg University.
