Five Quakers Compete in Finals During Day 3 of OAC Championships

(AKRON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College women's swimming team completed their third day of competition in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships Friday night. They sit in sixth place with 144 points.

Five different Quakers competed in finals tonight, with Gabby Kuetemeyer competing in the A final of the 100 Yard Breaststroke and the other Quakers in B finals. Kuetemeyer finished fifth with a time of 1:08.79, just behind Mara Brown of Ohio Northern University at 1:08.78 and John Carroll University's Regan Gunzy, who touched in 1:08.69.

Brenna Beadle competed in a pair of B finals for Wilmington, the 100 Yard Butterfly and 100 Yard Backstroke. She was fourth in the 100 Yard Butterfly and 12th overall with a time of 1:04.88 and fifth in the 100 Yard Backstroke at 1:05.00 for 13th overall.

Brynn Bishop also competed in the B finals of the 100 Yard Butterfly and finished with a time of 1:14.34 for 15th overall. In the 200 Yard Freestyle B final, Adisson Houdeshell touched the wall in a time of 2:10.95 for 16th place overall. Sophia Mignery was in the B finals of the 100 Yard Breaststroke and swam a time of 1:14.69 for third place and 11th overall.

The Quakers complete the OAC Championships tomorrow, with prelims set for 9:30 A.M. and finals at 5:00 P.M.
