(WILMINGTON, Ohio) - Izaiah Cathey earned his first career Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Athlete of the Week honors Monday afternoon.
Across two games this week, Cathey played 56 minutes and scored 32 points. Cathey had a big performance in Wilmington's 88-78 win over Ohio Northern on Wednesday. He scored 22 points while grabbing six rebounds and an assist in the in the Quakers' first conference win. Against Oberlin on Sunday, Cathey scored 10 points and led the team with nine rebounds, adding three steals, one block, and one assist.
Cathey marks the 15th straight week that a Quaker has earned OAC Athlete of the Week honors. Wilmington's next contest is on the road at Adrian College this Wednesday at 7:00 P.M.
