(WILMINGTON, Ohio) - Sondre Haugen's historic weekend leads to his second Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week award.
Haugen won his fifth career Men's Swimmer of the Week award with his efforts at the Corbiere-Merion Invitational this weekend. He won four events, broke two program records, and broke a pool record. The senior won the 500 Yard Freestyle with a pool record time of 4:37.63. He broke the 17-year-old program record in the 200 Yard Butterfly, winning in 1:54.36. Haugen then broke the program record for the 400 Yard IM with a winning time of 4:07.42. He won the 1650 Yard Freestyle by over 27 seconds in 16:32.55. Haugen was also a part of three relay teams that finished in second place.
Wilmington will be back in the pool on January 16, when the Quakers will take on Anderson University (IN) and Heidelberg in Anderson, Indiana.
