(ALLIANCE, Ohio) – The Wilmington College men's swimming team competed at the University of Mount Union Saturday afternoon in dual action, falling to the Purple Raiders 159-93.
Senior
Sondre Haugen led the Quakers with two event wins while junior
Jo Pedersen also won a race. Haugen won the 200 Yard Freestyle by nearly five seconds in 1:43.86 before winning the 100 Yard Butterfly in 51.33 seconds. He was also a member of the second place 400 Yard Medley Relay team that finished in 3:36.83 alongside senior
John Good, sophomore
Parker Basener, and Pedersen.
Pedersen won the 200 Yard IM in 2:08.12 and took second in the 100 Yard Butterfly, touching the wall in 53.85 seconds. Good had a pair of second place finishes in the 100 Yard Freestyle (49.11 seconds) and the 100 Yard Backstroke (54.02 seconds).
Basener finished second in the 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:11.77 and took third in the 200 Yard Breaststroke at 2:18.46. Freshman
Bo Bindewald finished in third in the 200 Yard Backstroke, touching the wall in 2:10.51.
