(LOUISVILLE, Ky.) – The Wilmington women's cross country team competed at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional this morning, finishing in 32nd at 902.
The Quakers leader on the day was freshman
Morgan Blair, running in the regionals for the first time in her career. She nearly broke 24 minutes in the 6k, finishing the race in 24:04.7 for 83rd place. She finished her freshman campaign with her best two races of the season at the OAC Championships (23:39.1) and Great Lakes Regional.
Junior
Hayden Setty competed in the regional race for the second time in her career, crossing the line in 26:11.28 for 187th place, while
Avery Vance finished right behind her in 190th with a time of 26:14.34. This was a huge season best for Vance, crushing her previous best 6k this season by over 45 seconds.
The final two scorers for Wilmington were freshmen
Bryauna Bailey and
Addison Naus. Bailey finished the race in 27:59.21 while Naus came through the line in 28:26.86. Bailey's time was over two minutes better than her first race in Louisville earlier this season, while Naus's was over a minute better.
