(CEDARVILLE, Ohio) - The Wilmington Quakers women's cross-country team faced a stern test in Cedarville Friday night, facing not only their largest meet of the season, but also their first 6,000 meter race of the young 2026 campaign. Despite stiff competition, the Quakers rose to the occasion, shelling out several personal bests and finishing 18th in team scoring and eighth among Division III teams.

After missing the first two meets of the season due to injury, super sophomore Morgan Blair was eager to return to the course, and she channeled that eagerness into a career-best time of 23:38, good enough for 36th overall, eighth among Division III athletes.

The Quakers second finisher was senior Hayden Setty, who showed incredible grit, battling through injuries of her own to take 119th place in 24:59. Freshman Sophia France continued what is already becoming a standout campaign with a time of 26:31, finishing in 188th place.

Finishing fourth for the Quakers was Sophomore DaShae Washington, who shaved nearly three minutes off of her finish at the 2025 All-Ohio meet, running a time of 28:15 for 233rd place. In 271st place was sophomore Addison Naus, who ran a solid time of 29:56.

Concluding the varsity race for the Quakers were junior Heather Dutenhaver and freshman Etta Moore, who finished 280th and 284th with times of 30:24 and 30:40, respectively. Dutenhaver dominantly outpaced her time from the previous year's race, while Moore put up a solid finish in her first career 6k race.

The Quakers will rest next week prior to heading south for the Louisville Cross-Country Classic on October 3rd.
