(WILMINGTON, Ohio) - Senior wide receiver and returner
Darryl Story was selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Special Teams Player of the Week for the first time in his career this afternoon.
Story was pivotal for the Quakers in their 54-41 victory over Otterbein University this weekend. The senior took a punt 65 yards to the house for Wilmington's first punt return for a touchdown since Luke Richardson did so on November 10th, 2018, also against Otterbein and for 65 yards. He returned three punts for a total of 116 yards on Saturday. Story also caught one pass for a 42-yard touchdown.
The senior is second for the Quakers in receptions with 19, receiving yards with 300, and tied for second with three receiving touchdowns through six games. Story also took a 77 yard kickoff return for a touchdown in Wilmington's season opener against The College of Wooster. He has returned two kickoffs for 92 yards this season.
Wilmington travels to Anderson University (IN) on Saturday for a 1:30 P.M. kickoff.Â
