(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – For the first time since the 2012-13 academic year and specifically April 30th, 2013, the Quakers men's and women's tennis programs are back in action this fall.

The women kick things off Sunday afternoon in their first action of the season, traveling to Anderson University (Ind.) for a 1:00 P.M. dual against the Ravens. The women will also take on Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Mount Vernon, Ohio on October 10th at 11:00 A.M.

Leading the Quakers program is veteran coach Jayson Wiseman, who has made several stops as a head coach before making his way to Wilmington.

"Building a program is quite a hard prospect to approach at any level," said Wiseman. However, Wiseman is up to the task, as this isn't his first time taking on this challenge.

"Being able to bring back the program is quite an honor," Wiseman said. "It's not the first time I have been tasked with rebuilding or building up a program. The excitement of the alumni and people on campus motivates me every day I come into work to try and make sure we do a great job, not just on the court, but for the people that are supporting us."

Wiseman has three goals he looks for in players that he recruits. "I want my players to become better people, students, and tennis players by the time they graduate, along with players that are hungry to get better."

Rosters
The Quakers have a team of six players on the men's side and seven players on the women's side. The six men are freshmen Juan Pablo Del Rincon, Sebastian Morla, Gavin Roessner, Jose Tapia Soto and Namit Bhatia along with junior Miguel Lazaga Robayna. Bhatia will be joining the team for their spring season.

On the women's side, they have freshmen Breanna Hacker, Jenna Pletcher, and Madi Zedeker, along with sophomores Bailey Wheeler, Kaci Daily and Samantha Martin. Junior Ella Kirby rounds out the team.

Players to Watch For
Miguel Lazaga Robayna qualified for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Tournament in singles and doubles last year as a member of Northwest Mississippi Community College.

Jenna Pletcher was one of the best players last year at Wilmington High School and looks to make a strong transition into the college game.

What to Watch For
The Quakers women's team plays a few duals during the fall, while the men compete in the ITA Central Region Tournament in Brownsburg, Indiana and the Denison Big Red Invite.

Their spring schedule will look to be tough and a great test for the team to compete and get better against several top Division III opponents.
