(BROWNSBURG, Ind.) – The Wilmington College men's tennis team made their season debut today at the ITA Central Region Tournament, hosted by Wabash College. The Quakers competed in both doubles and singles action.
Jose Tapia and
Miguel Lazaga Robayna began the day at the West Indy Racquet Club in doubles play, where they battled the team of Aingeru Garcia and Jorge Marcelo from Augustana College. They battled throughout the match, trying to even it up after falling behind early, but ultimately lost 8-5.
Tapia moved on to singles play in the afternoon at Brownsburg High School in Flight A of the singles bracket, taking on Kenyon College's Jay Dixit. He dropped the match 6-1, 6-1.
