(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) – The Wilmington College men's track & field team competed at the Otterbein Twilight Meet last night, hosted at Otterbein University. The team finished in 14th with 13 points.
For the first time in his Quakers career, senior
Tate Yoder ran the 3000 Meter Steeplechase, and finished in a time of 9:54.70 for fifth place and four points. Freshman
Larreon Brodie finished the Hammer Throw in seventh place and grabbed four points for Wilmington with a mark of 53.26m on his third attempt.
The Quakers 4x400 Meter Relay team of
Asher LeBeau,
Samuel McEntire,
Blake Kanniard, and
Mackenzie Tillman scored five points for Wilmington with a fourth-place finish at 3:31.32.
Senior
Gabe Moore finished the 5000 Meter Run in a time of 15:16.51 for ninth place while junior
Carson Miles was ninth in the Long Jump with a career best leap of 6.49m on his third attempt. Senior
Darryl Story just missed out on the 100 Meter Dash finals, running a 10.74 for 10th in the prelims, while the final qualifier finished in 10.73.
