(TIFFIN, Ohio) - The Wilmington College men's track and field team were at the unscored Larry Brown Invitational Friday, hosted at Heidelberg University.
Senior
Tate Yoder led the charge for Wilmington, winning both the Mile run and the 3000 Meter Run. He won the Mile in 4:29.78 and the 3000 Meter Run by nearly five seconds in 8:54.98.
Freshman
Larreon Brodie took second place in the Weight Throw with a mark of 16.63m on his second toss of the event.
Junior
Donovan Mosley had a great day for Wilmington. He started the day by qualifying for the 60 Meter Dash finals in 7.31 seconds, before crushing his career best in the finals with a time of 7.07 seconds to tie for fourth place. He followed this with another career best in the 200 Meter Dash, finishing in third place at 23.06 seconds.
Senior
Gabe Moore was seventh in the Mile run at 4:39.11 before taking third in the 3000 Meter Run in a time of 9:06.28.
Sophomore
Trey Sparks cleared 1.85m in the High Jump on his second attempt for sixth place and set a new career best in the Triple Jump at 11.37m on his final attempt of the competition.
The 500 Meter Run belonged to
Brendan Bornemann and
Griffin Roell. Bornemann was third in a time of 1:10.70 while Roell finished the race for the first time in his collegiate career in 1:10.80.
Junior
Elijah Newman finished fifth in the Shot Put at 13.64m on his second throw. Senior
Brandon Mitchell was seventh in the Weight Throw at 13.18m on attempt three and sophomore
Blake Kanniard was seventh in the 800 Meter Run in a time of 2:15.14.
Freshman
Simeon Williamson competed in the 3000 Meter Run for the first time in his collegiate career and took eighth in a time of 9:40.48.
What's Up Next
The Quakers compete in the MoJoe Invite next Saturday, hosted by Mount St. Joseph University, with the first event kicking off at 11:00 A.M.
