(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) – The Wilmington College men's cross country team competed at Otterbein University this morning in the Otterbein Invitational on the Lehman Cross Country Course.
The Quakers finished in seventh place as a team with a score of 213, defeating two Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) schools in the process.
Seniors
Tate Yoder and
Gabe Moore led the way for Wilmington. Yoder took fifth place in a time of 26:00.8 while Moore was 16th at 26:38.1. This was the third Top-5 finish for Yoder in his career and second of the season.
The Quakers had a pair of freshmen finish in the Top-100 of their first collegiate 8k race, as
Simeon Williamson crossed the line in 28:54.5 for 94th place and
Ethan DeRoest in 29:03.3 for 97th. Freshman
Braydon Buchanan finished his race with a time of 29:50.8 and was the last scoring finisher for the Quakers.
