Tate Yoder was announced as the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week this afternoon for the first time in his career.
Yoder won the JennaStrong Fall Classic - Jim Boland Men's 8k race with a time of 25:28.6 and a 5:07.5 mile pace. He broke his personal best time at the meet by 21 seconds, and it was the fifth straight year a Quaker has won the race. Wilmington placed sixth as a team in the meet with a score of 188.
This was Yoder's second win of his career after he won the Pat Thomas Invitational 5k race at Earlham College on August 29th. He recorded a time of 16:17.5 in that event.
Wilmington's next race is on Saturday, November 1st, at the OAC Championships hosted by Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio. Â
