Kingsbury Adds Two Coaches to 2026 Men's Lacrosse Staff

(WILMINGTON, Ohio) - Wilmington College Head Men's Lacrosse coach Brian Kingsbury announced the hiring of two assistant coaches in Bear Davis and Ryan Madison.

Davis will support Head Coach Brian Kingsbury, providing leadership in recruiting, program development, and alumni engagement as the Quakers continue to build momentum on and off the field.

For Davis, the role represents a meaningful return to his alma mater. A former student-athlete at Wilmington College, Davis has established himself as one of the game's most respected names. He is an Ohio Hall of Fame coach, a Major League Lacrosse Champion, and a proven program builder with more than two decades of experience at the collegiate, professional, and youth levels.

"This is truly a homecoming," Davis shared. "Wilmington College has given me so much, and I am grateful for the opportunity to support Coach Kingsbury and these student-athletes as they work to take the program forward. There is so much positive energy here right now — from the incredible $23 million gift from Jerry Scheve to the College to the strong leadership across campus. It is a special time to be a Quaker."

Madison was a three-year starter and team captain his senior year at Juniata College in Pennsylvania. Ryan holds the career save record at Juniata and is in the top 10 in the Landmark Conference for career saves. Madison will be working with the goalies and defense.

"I am super excited to be here at Wilmington College and help build out the Quakers lacrosse program," Madison shares. "It is great to add Ryan to the staff as he brings a younger perspective to the game, closing the gap between players and myself," Kingsbury added. "Ryan is eager to get on the road to recruit and represent the Quakers in good light!"
