(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) – The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced their 2024 All-OAC Football teams this morning and the Quakers had four players named. On the Second Team Offense were a pair of seniors in wide receiver
Lathan Jones and kicker
Connor Bucksath. Being named Honorable Mentions were senior defensive back
Quentin Davis and junior left tackle
Dylan Alltop. This is the second time that Jones has been honored by the conference after being named to the First Team last season. This is the first time that Bucksath, Alltop, and Davis have earned honors.
Jones led the Quakers with 482 receiving yards this season, which was 12th in the OAC. He had one game with over 100 receiving yards and two with over 90 yards. He scored one touchdown for the Quakers on a 59-yard pass and catch against John Carroll University on Oct. 26. Jones ends his careers as one of the best receivers in program history. He sits in the Top-10 in several career stat categories. He is fourth all time with 2,315 receiving yards and 22 receiving touchdowns.
Bucksath had a great season for the Quakers, as he finished second in the OAC with nine made field goals and was tied for second with 11 field goal attempts. His long field goal of 40 yards was tied for fourth, while his 43 points scored was seventh and his 16 extra points made, and 18 extra point attempts were ninth. His nine made field goals are the third most in a single season in Quakers program history. He made two field goals in three separate games this year for Wilmington.
Davis was second on the team with 56 tackles and second with 41 solo tackles. He led the team with five pass break ups, which tied for 12th in the OAC. He was one of just two Quakers to force a fumble and was second on the team with one interception against Muskingum University on Sep. 21. Davis had nine total tackles in three games this season.
Alltop was a rock-solid starter at left tackle for the Quakers during all 10 of their games. He helped block for a team that rushed for 915 total yards and 10 rushing touchdowns. He also had one catch during the season for three yards.
The Quakers football team improved drastically throughout the course of the season, and they will look to improve on their record in the fall of 2025.
