WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team lost in the first Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) game of the year against Mount Union 12-3 on Sunday. The Quakers will travel to Baldwin Wallace on Friday, March 30 at 1 p.m.

Wilmington struggled to find an offensive groove in the first half as the Fightin' Quakers only recorded eight shots to the Purple Raiders' 21. Mount Union was able to capitalize on nine of those shots turning them into goals. The lone first-half goal from the Quakers came from Andrew Miller.

The second half Wilmington saw more offensive possessions and recorded two goals on 18 shots, both of which came from Connor Judge. Mount Union's lead was too big to come back from, but the Quakers fought hard until the end of the half.

Wilmington was led offensively, by Judge scoring two goals on five shots. Miller tacked on the other Quaker goal. Eric Wathen caused two turnovers leading the team defensively, as Jake Ladendorf and Zac Chucta were able to pick up five ground balls each. Ladendorf also recorded 13 saves on the afternoon.

Wilmington (3-4, 0-1 OAC) will continue conference play at Baldwin Wallace University on Friday, March 30. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
