(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team lost Wednesday night to the Otterbein University Cardinals, 22-16. Despite the loss, the Quakers played well and showed a lot of promise.
The Cardinals took a 12-3 lead into the locker room at halftime, but the second half belonged to Wilmington. They outscored Otterbein 13-10 in the half and had a pair of 3-0 runs to try and produce a comeback. Wilmington could never get within six goals, but arguably played their best conference game of the season.

- 16 goals are the Quakers most in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play since beating Muskingum University, 16-9 on April 28th, 2018. Their most ever goals in conference play came in a 23-10 win over Muskingum on April 30th, 2017.
- Garrett Reigelsperger led Wilmington with four goals in the game, with Danny Fitzpatrick right behind him with three.
- Nick Roca dished out a career high four assists in the game.
- Brandon Osborne led the team with eight shots, while Dawson Fitzpatrick put a team high five shots on goal.
- Tyler Spotts had 16 ground balls in the game, which is the fifth most in a single game in program history. His 24 face-off wins is tied for the second most in a single game in program history.
- Four Quakers had one caused turnover.
- Peyton Thompson made 18 saves in goal for Wilmington.
