  • Winald and Kappelin combined to give Wilmington the lead in the 52nd minute, and the Fightin' Quakers kept Earlham from posing any serious scoring threats over the final 39 minutes.
  • Winald is leads the team with five goals, and Kappelin has a team-high five assists.
  • Senior defender Nils Asteberg (Ojersjo, Sweden/Porthalla Gymnasium) was excellent; according to head coach Bud Lewis, in the defending of Earlham's long ball attacks.
  • In a physical game, 28 fouls were called and five yellow cards issued.

COACHES CORNER

"We have been struggling scoring goals from what we call is our target forward," said Lewis. "We moved Daniel to that spot, and his vision and technical skills has been good for us, and Willie has been in the right place on the back side."
