The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team suffered an 18-4 home loss to John Carroll Saturday in Ohio Athletic Conference at Williams Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• John Carroll scored the first five goals of the game, and led 5-0 at the end of the first period.
• All three Wilmington goalkeepers saw action in the game. Sophomore Jake Ladendorf (Crown Pointe, IN/Crown Pointe) allowed seven goals on 11 shots in 23:20, while junior Paul Koerbel (Maineville, OH/Kings) allowed eight goals on 13 shots in 21:40. Sophomore Matt Gallagher (Dublin, OH/Scioto) allowed three goals on five shots in 15:00.
• Sophomore Matt Dugan (Hilliard, OH/Davidson) made the most of his two shots, scoring on both, including a nifty behind the head shot in the second period.
• Wilmington was just 5-of-26 on faceoffs, and the Fightin' Quakers were 21-of-28 on their clear attempts.
• John Carroll was 3-for-8 on its man-up opportunities, while Wilmington was 0-for-2.
