The Wilmington College men's basketball team struggled in nearly every facet Saturday in falling to Baldwin Wallace, 95-61, in Ohio Athletic Conference action at Fred Raizk Arena in Hermann Court.

"We didn't show up," said Wilmington head coach K.C. Hunt. "When you don't show up against a good team, it's going to be a long day; and it certainly was a long day."

Wilmington led for just 1:19 while the Yellow Jackets were bombing away in the first half. Baldwin Wallace hit 60 percent from the field in the first half, including 7-of-10 from long range. For the game, BW converted 55.6 percent (35-of-63) from the field. Additionally, the Fightin' Quakers were beat on the glass as the visitors held a plus-26 advantage (51 to 25) on the boards.

The 16 offensive rebounds enabled BW to record 16 second-chance points and was part of the reason it scored 47 points in the paint.

Senior Jonathan Bibbs (Dayton, OH/Chaminade Julienne), who missed the last two games, came off the bench to lead the team with 12 points and pulled down four rebounds. Sophomore John Righter (Pataskala, OH/Licking Heights) added 10 points for Wilmington.

"It was good to have Jonathan back on the court," said Hunt. "We absolutely need him to be a productive big for us. He only had one day of practice, but I thought he did some nice things for us. John Righter gave us a spark. As a whole, we weren't good, we didn't compete hard enough and we have to care more about the process."

Senior R.J. Leppert (Liberty Township, OH/Lakota East), who was limited to 12 minutes due to foul trouble, grabbed a team-high five rebounds, while junior Chris Jackson (Ostrander, OH/Buckeye Valley) had a career-high three blocks.

Wilmington (2-7 overall, 1-4 OAC) will be off for nine days due to the holidays, and will return to the hardwood 4:30 p.m. December 29 to face Alma in the Wittenberg Holiday Tournament.
