WC falls to John Carroll

The Wilmington College men's tennis team fell to John Carroll Saturday in Ohio Athletic Conference action, 9-0.

John Carroll jumped out to the 3-0 lead after winning all three doubles matches. The duo of Justin Arehart (Wilmington, OH/Wilmington) and Josh Kincaid (Loveland, OH/Goshen) fell in first doubles, 8-3, and in the second doubles, Connor LaVelle (Athens, OH/Athens) and Cullen Corcoran (Wilmington, OH/Clinton-Massie) also lost 8-3. In third doubles, the pair of Jesse Ingels (Morrow, OH/Little Miami) and Ronald Sansone lost 8-1.

Arehart lost in first singles, 6-1, 6-0, while LaVelle fell in second singles, 6-2, 6-0. In third singles, Kincaid lost 7-5, 6-0; Corcoran dropped a 6-1, 6-1 match in fourth singles and Ingels lost in fifth singles, 6-0, 6-0. Sansone was also defeated in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0.

The Fightin' Quakers hosts Heidelberg at the Wilmington Tennis Complex 4 p.m. Monday.
