(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – The Wilmington College women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision in Hermann Court Tuesday night to the visiting Hanover College Panthers.
The Quakers dropped set one 25-13, set two 25-23, and set three 25-17.
Wilmington was tied 6-6 in the first set, led by three aces. The Panthers used a 16-5 run to grab the momentum of the set and go up 1-0.
The Quakers led the second set 15-13 before a 4-0 Hanover run put them ahead 17-15. A trio of Panther errors got Wilmington back in the set at 18-18. Hanover put the set away with a late 3-0 run for a 24-20 lead that the Quakers couldn't come back from.
Wilmington rolled out to a 9-3 lead in the final set, led by attack errors and kills from
Aubrey Clark and
Brinlee Preston. An 11-1 Panthers flurry ensued for a 14-10 lead. Hanover won the set 25-17.
