(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – The Wilmington Quakers defeated the Wooster Scots 4-3 on a foggy Saturday night at Williams Stadium.
Wooster opened the scoring in the 24th minute, finding the back of the net on a header off a set piece to take a 1-0 lead into halftime.
The Quakers flipped the momentum in the second half. Aidan Barnishin scored in the 54th minute to tie the match before William Jansson found the back of the net just one minute later to give Wilmington its first lead of the night. In the 74th minute, Akol Malow curled a shot into the back of the net to extend the Quakers' advantage to 3-1.
Wooster refused to go away, scoring twice in quick succession in the 81st minute to erase Wilmington's two-goal advantage and tie the match at 3-3. The Quakers wasted little time responding. Just seconds after Wooster's equalizer, Eli Eyrich scored the game-winning goal to put Wilmington back in front, 4-3.
The Green and White held off the Scots over the remaining minutes to secure the victory in a seven-goal thriller.
